The minimum number of participants for the program to run is 25 students. If by our registration deadline we haven't reached our minimum, we will refund the deposits.

To successfully complete your child’s registration for the program, a deposit is required. Please note that your registration will only be considered confirmed once the deposit has been received. This step is essential to secure your child’s spot in the program.

All payments, including both the deposit and the remaining balance, must be completed no later than September 15th.

We appreciate your timely attention to this process and look forward to supporting your child on this exciting journey

These are our program deadlines:

Frequently Asked Questions

The program maintains multiple lines of communication with the school, families, and Envoys main offices. The expedition will be equipped with local and international cell phones, a GPS transponder, and two-way radios.

Parents will be given a link to a photo gallery to follow along with the trip. Trip leaders will upload photos periodically. In case of any major issues parents will be contacted immediately.

Envoys is not a licensed insurance broker. However, families can easily request a quote and purchase insurance through our partner, Trawick International. Click here to get a quote.

Non-US citizens are only legally allowed to purchase Safe Travels USA Comprehensive or Safe Travels International Cost Saver insurance plans from Trawick International.

In the event of a cancellation, Envoys will not refund third-party fees paid by participants. This includes airline tickets booked by Envoys on behalf of participants (if applicable).

Refunds for participant cancellations are issued according to the following schedule based on the number of calendar days prior to the trip departure:

60 days or more: 100% refund minus the non-refundable deposit (10% of the total cost), applicable airline fees, and any non-refundable deposits made to providers.
59–40 days: 50% refund minus applicable airline fees and non-refundable deposits made to providers.
Less than 40 days: No refunds will be issued.

All cancellation requests must notified to Envoys directly. The participant cancellation date will be determined based on the receipt of this notification.

No one can guarantee freedom from harm, including accident, injury, illness, or death.

A degree of risk is inherent in this program, as well as in all travel and outdoor activities. Potential hazards include severe weather, public disorder, interactions with non-program participants, lack of medical facilities, exposure to disease, and transportation accidents. Mental health issues may also be exacerbated through the stresses of a new experience.

While risks are inherent in travel, we believe that the educational and personal growth opportunities far outweigh those risks, and we are committed to managing and mitigating them to the best of our abilities. Envoys is mindful of the risk involved in every program we run. To address these concerns, we have a dedicated Risk Committee and a Field Risk Director who carefully review all our programs and assess potential risks. They develop mitigation strategies that our staff implement on the ground, ensuring we fulfill our shared duty of care with schools in the best way possible.
